  • good question, it all depends on certain factors. each condition has specific criteria. its something you should spend the time researching, so that you can understand it.

  • 1.PMS-only occurs certain times of the month, for so long
    2.peri-menopause-age of onset,hot flashes,period changes
    3.Bipolar-moods last longer then a couple weeks,extreme mood swings,personality change,sometimes suicidal,
These are only a few of the basic symptoms to help guide you.I’m not trying to diagnose.
You need a doctor to be able to differentiate between these. If you think you might have one or more of these problems, seek medical help.Only a professional will know for sure by giving tests and asking a series of questions.
Research the 3 things you’ve mentioned and see which doctor best fits your circumstances.Make an appointment and be evaluated.

  • You go see a doctor so he can do tests to rule out (or rule in) hormonal imbalances. Then if they come back normal it’s probably not PMS or menopause. The difference between Depression and Bipolar is mania. Not so hard to tell apart. Actually they share a few symptoms but if you are really educated about them you would realize that they are not at all alike………..

  • het beste antwoord op deze symptomen is de capsules van de teunisbloemolie – maar niet als u medicijn voor BPD neemt, en natuurlijke progesteroneroom – dit kalmeert u – ik krijg mijn van Biovea co.uk

  • Keep track with a mood chart – there are free ones online, google it.

PMS- would only have symptoms for a week or so before your period, and a couple days into it.

perimenopause – if the PMS gets worse before menopause, it is PMS getting worse because of perimenopause. If you already had depression or bipolar, there is a very good chance it will get much worse during perimenopause. This has happened to me, and my docs have all said this is common as anything.

If you are depressed other times of the month, but worse during PMS time, this is normal – PMS makes depression worse.

With bipolar, you will have manic or hypomanic periods, but especially hypomanic periods can be hard to recognize. If you have bipolar II, the hypomanic periods can be brief and relatively mild, and just seem like a very productive, creative time in your life.

  • well first off the first 2 have to do with the menestral cycle and can usually be allieved by listening to your self because a woman is closest to how she really feels right before her period. We were taught that our period is dirty and something that needs to be treated. I recomend reading “womens’ body womens’ wisdom by christine northrup….it will totally change how you look at your body and will help you overcome pms. Pms is not a disorder…it is your bodymind telling you things need to change in your life. Once you change them, the pms will go away. I have done this and it works. In fact, I was in a long term relationship with an abusive man…and I would break up with him just before my period..almost every period. I would just get a gut full of his stuff and I would scream, throw things, and walk out….only to be sweet talked back after my period was over. One day I finally left him and my pms got much better….anyway read the book if you think that is your problem…I suggest every woman to read her book…it is like a manual to everything about being female

depression is a unipolar disorder where you feel sad, depressed, hopless, tired, lethargic, no desire to do anything, joyless, shameful, anxious…sometimes you will have physical symptoms like body aches and headaches…feeling sucidal..or wanting to die is a serious sign and you need to get help imedately

Bipolar disorder is mood disorder where you will experience mania which is hightened aggitation, aggression, poor impulse control, trouble with consquencal thinking, hyper-sexuality, feelings of superiority, delusions, and if severe..halucination
then once the mania wears off then depression sinks in which is the above depression signs but to also include shame and guilt for the things you did while you were manic. Then the depression improves and your normal feeling for a while then mania strikes again and then the cycle continues

the cycle can be long…like a full cycle can take up months or even a year…or they can be short such as rapid cycling bipolar disorder…which a full cycle can complete in less than a month, or even a week. there is also ultra rapid cycling bipolar disorder which can complete a cycle in less than a day…everyday.
The grand daddy of bipolar disorder is schizo-bipolar disorder which a person shows signs of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. One of my friend’s has that…but it is more rare.

The good news is that if you are worried about “feeling crazy”….the good news is you are not. Crazy people dont know they are crazy.
