I started menopause when i was 38 years old…I am now 43 it took 2 years for it to be complete and I have not had a period in 3 years…I have no problems lubricating nothing I can honsestly say that I love having gone through menopause early as I did …i didn’t want any more kids and it didn’t effect my love life so I good!1 …I never had ANY problems whatsoever not hot flashes not anything…BUT NOW i am gaining weight like crazy!!! in the last month I have gained 10 freakin pounds!! How can I make it stop!! what can I do this is geting ridiculous i look fat it’s so not cool!!! belly fat *****!1 any ideas PLEASE HELP!
At the answer below you say ur an RN but what is causing my body now during menpoause stage of my life to make me gain so fast?? I have never done this before i know excersise is good but something is clearly going wring with my body righ tnow…i have never gained weight this fast

So, I am almost 37 years old, my period is on time every month, I have a pretty good diet, I exercise and have no health problems. I have 1 child that is 10 years old. I also had a surprise pregnancy a year ago, that turned out to be a tubal pregnancy. My problem is that over the past 7 months or so, I have gained an extra 25 pounds. I have almost no clothes that fit anymore. 1 year ago, my waist was pretty small, and I am small framed. I have gained alot of weight in my arms, stomach , thighs and but…. lets just say everywhere, but in those places mostly. When I really started to notice, I started walking everyday, and replacing my sweet tea with bottled water. I did this for 3 weeks, and never lost a single pound. I have since then, put on a few more pounds, joined a gym and dieted even more, the healthy way. Still cannot lose a pound. I have heard this can be caused by pre-menopause. hormone ? Thyroid? I had a full blood panel done 1 year ago at the doctors office, where they checked all that, and it was normal. I have never had a problem dropping a few pounds if I needed to. I am completley baffled? Any suggestions ladies?
