I am 48 years old and have been on BC pills for over 20 years. I have stopped the pill as my husband has completed his vasectomy and microscopic exam revealed he was clean. I did not have *** with him until after the exam. After my last BCP induced period, I am now 38 days and counting while I wait for a period. Could I be in the midst of menopause? And could it have been disguised by the pill? My hormone check almost a year ago was normal.

But there doesn’t seem to be much of a fuss made about taking birth control pills, Some of which a woman can take almost continuously.What I want to know is why is HRT so frowned upon when BC doesn’t seem to be. They are both hormone pills..what’s the difference..besides the obvious reasons one would use them.

Or, will you know you are starting menopause when you are on the pill? Will you still have normal periods? I am 32 and a bit young but the females in my family go through menopause young. I was just wondering because I am having horrible hot flashes at night and was wondering if the pill would mask menopause? Any help would be appreciated.
